ANNOUNCING
THE CAPLAN EDUCATIONAL
ACTIVITIES LAB
“CO-OP”
We are pleased to announce the Caplan Educational Activities LAB “CO-OP.” Teachers will now be available to create materials on their own, using our rich collection of game models, Ellison Die-Cut machine, resources, and SERC Store supplies.
In order for the CO-OP to function well, please note the following:
Please make an appointment to use the LAB CO-OP. (Since our room is used for many purposes, we will need to set aside time for you.) Call Nancy Messinger, Director of Educational Resources, at 215-635-8940, ext. 1215.
We want to keep the CO-OP area neat and clean. Please factor in clean-up time for your visit.
PLEASE SIGN IN AND OUT WITH A SERC STAFF MEMBER.
Please be very careful of the game models - do not alter them in any way. Return the game models to the same place from which they came - making sure that they have all their pieces intact and that they are not creased or jammed.
Please do not use the master copy of any game sheets . Make sure to leave at least one original - you can make copies on the SERC copier (10 cents per page).
Replace glue stick and marker covers tightly so that they do not dry out.
When using the Ellison Die-Cut machine, please return dies to their proper place. Put all paper scraps into the trash basket. Please bring your own colored paper for big projects.
There is a $5.00 materials fee per game/activity. See price list to purchase items from the SERC Store (posters, stickers, stencils, borders, etc.)
The laminator can be used by SERC staff only. Projects that require laminating need to be left with them. Please label your work with your name, school, phone number and date needed (one week minimum).
Please pay Tsipi , Bonni or Nancy for all games and materials before you sign out.
HAVE A GREAT TIME!
